Julie Barron Potter has enjoyed baking most of her life. Although it started as tasting everything her grandmother would make, it turned into creating treats to share with friends and family. On a trip to visit family in Scotland, Julie felt moved to create a bakery dedicated to traditional and some not-so-traditional
Scottish treats.
In 1909, John G. Barron arrived in Hamilton, Montana from Portsoy, Scotland. He established a small shop on main street, one of the first businesses in town.
Over one-hundred years later John's great-great granddaughter, Julie Barron, is running her cottage bakery and turning out decadent Scottish treats in the stunning Bitterroot Valley.
You can find Julie at the Saturday Farmer's Market in Hamilton, Montana. The market is open most Saturdays, May through October, from 9:00-12:30. Some special community events may take precedence and we will post those "closed" dates here.
The Market is located on Bedford between South 2nd and 3rd Streets.
